La Terrasse du Temple
Rue du Temple, 3rd Arrondissement, Le Marais

One-Bedroom with Air Conditioning, Sleeps up to 4

This newly renovated air-conditioned apartment, located in a 16th-century building, is an immaculate and calm one-bedroom oasis in the heart of Paris. Bright and luxurious, La Terrasse du Temple offers all the comforts of home in a well layed-out 35 square-meter package.

The apartment is situated on the first floor, just past the secure, digicode entrance and is easily accessible to those of all ages.
The apartment has a very spacious feeling, with a private, walled terrace, beautiful new bamboo floors, and large windows. The terrace itself will allow you to dine al fresco on the new teak patio dining set and is equipped with a retractable canvas awning, allowing all-weather enjoyment.

This apartment has one bedroom, but also offers a "Murphy" bed, which pulls out of the wall in the living area, allowing for comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to two additional people. Both are full-size beds, complete with luxury linens.

You will appreciate a new fully equipped galley kitchen with stove top, oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge, and all tableware and utensils...a cook's dream in Paris!

The stone tiled bathroom has a walk-in rainhead shower, frameless glass doors, large mirror, and a hair dryer. Plush bathrobes, liquid hand and shower soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion from L'Occitane are all provided.

The living area is very comfortable with a large sofa for lounging and an adjustable smoked glass dining/desk/coffee table, that seats 4 people. The table is adjustable to any height for any of these uses and more!

A 63cm/26" flat-screen HDTV with home theater stereo system complete with an iPod connection will allow you to relax after a long day of sightseeing. You'll also find plenty of reading material for your enjoyment.

Cable HDTV allows you to watch over 100 channels, including several in English such as CNN and BBC World. The apartment comes with a laptop computer for you to use, or you may bring your own and connect to the Internet with the apartment’s private WiFi signal. Unlimited free telephone calls to over 70 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia make it easy to touch base with friends and family around the globe. These services as well as all linens are included in the nightly rate.

Le Marais and the Area Around the Apartment:

The apartment is in the heart of Le Marais, about as central a position as possible. Walk southbound toward the chic shopping street of rue Rambuteau/rue des Francs Bourgeois and onward toward La Seine, but on the way, discover the famous department store, the Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville, and the Hôtel de Ville itself -- Paris' city hall. Venture off to the north and you will cross rue de Bretagne with all its wonderful commerce...boulangeries (bakeries), a number of boucheries (butchers), poissonneries (fish markets), epiceries (grocery stores), primeurs (fruit/vegetable shops), fleuristes (flower shops), bar/tabacs (tobacco shops), cafés and lots of excellent and charming restaurants, not to mention Paris' oldest covered market, Les Enfants Rouges, which dates back to 1615! Don't miss the Square du Temple, Le Carreau du Temple and the City Hall of the 3rd Arrondissement before reaching Place de la République. When you head west, you'll virtually collide with the Centre Georges Pompidou and just beyond, Les Halles. Head east and you'll find your way to the Musée Picasso, the Musée Carnavalet and Place des Vosges. Within minutes, you have access to the most historical and important parts of Paris that date back many centuries and tell many tales. While there is plenty of available transportation, you may never need the bus or Métro thanks to this central location!
